A double ball catch is a type of door hardware used to keep double doors closed without the need for a locking mechanism. It consists of two spring-loaded balls housed in a metal casing, typically installed on the top of one door and a strike plate on the top of the other door. When the doors are closed, the balls are depressed into the casing and engage with the strike plate, holding the doors securely closed.
